On a personal level, economic development for me would be a higher standard of living and being able to afford those things which were I could not buy previously. But this is obviously a very narrow way of thinking about a broad concept like economic development. From a broad perspective economic development consists of moving forward in the technological sector, transitioning from agro based economy to industry based economy and an overall improve in the standard of living for all people in the country.
